The problem

"When I take the blanket off my horse, I find him sweaty or damp underneath."

This is one of the most frequent problems clients ask us about in our physical store in A Coruña and via WhatsApp. Here we break it down with real causes and proven solutions.

Why does this happen? — Common causes

Blanket with too much fill. The most common cause: 300g when the weather doesn't require more than 100g. The horse overheats.
Poorly breathable blanket. Cheap blankets with poor synthetic membranes trap moisture instead of wicking it away.
Abrupt temperature changes. Cold day + heated stable at night causes sweating due to thermal contrast.
Recently clipped horse. In the first few days after clipping, the horse regulates its temperature less effectively. It needs constant adjustments.

How to solve it

Solution 1: Reduce the fill

If the temperature in your area is >10°C, use 0g (no fill) outdoors and a thin fleece blanket in the stable. This is the most common mistake.

Solution 2: Buy technical blankets
