How to choose a browband

The browband is the part of the bridle that goes across the forehead. It prevents the bridle from sliding back down the neck.

Size

They come in sizes (pony, cob, and full), just like the bridle. If it’s too short, the headpiece will pinch behind the ears. If it’s too long, the bridle will slip. The most reliable method is to measure from one side of the forehead to the other, behind the eyes, following the curve.

Style

Plain ones are for everyday use. Crystal or detailed ones are reserved for competitions and shows, especially in dressage. Pay attention to the loop type: some can be changed without taking the bridle apart.
