How to get the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen solely by foot size. Three measurements are needed, which is exactly what avoids the most returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
- Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself wearing your riding breeches, not jeans or with bare legs: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason a boot does not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.
