The Vellquine Rainbow Browband is a browband from Vellquine, Rincón del Valle's own brand. It is the easiest part to change to refresh the look of a bridle without buying a new one.
Vellquine is Rincón del Valle's own brand: we design and sell it ourselves, so any questions about size, fit, or replacement are resolved directly by us without going through a distributor. If something doesn't fit, you have 30 days to return it.
How to choose the right browband
- The browband should not pull the crownpiece towards the ears. If, when you put it on, you see that the crownpiece shifts forward or that the horse shakes its head, it's too short: go up a size.
- It should sit about two fingers below the base of the ears, flat on the forehead, and without leaving a gap at the sides.
- It can be changed without tools: dismantle the crownpiece, slide on the new browband, and reassemble. A minute's work.
Available sizes
This item is manufactured in Full and Cob. Cob is the size for horses with smaller heads and most large ponies; Full is the standard horse size. If your horse is between the two, measure the circumference of the crownpiece from ear to ear and the length of the noseband before deciding: it's easier to adjust a Full with the holes higher up than to stretch a Cob.
For competition
In dressage, regulations limit bling and embellishments depending on the level; in jumping and training, there is much more freedom. If you compete, check your federation's current regulations before using it in the arena.
