The problem

"My horse turns his head away when I try to bridle him or resists taking the bit."

This is one of the most frequent problems that customers consult us about in our physical store in A Coruña and via WhatsApp. Here, we break it down with real causes and proven solutions.

Why does this happen? — Frequent causes

Negative association with the bridle. If you have accidentally hurt him in the past while bitting, he has associated the bridle with discomfort.
Inadequate bit. An incorrect size bit or aggressive materials generate rejection. Joints can pinch the tongue if poorly adjusted.
Dental problems. Horses with sharp molars, points, or dental problems associate the bit with pain.
