How to get the right size

A tall riding boot is not chosen by shoe size alone. Three measurements are needed, and this is exactly what prevents the most returns:

  • Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
  • Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
  • Calf circumference, at its widest point.

Measure yourself while wearing your riding breeches, not jeans or with a bare leg: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason why a boot won't close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.

Sizes for this model: 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40.

Several brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is too tight, look for the wide version before going up a shoe size.

Leather gives a little in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters when the ankle creases form, but the foot length does not stretch: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

The Hailey boot turns heads at the arena. The upper is decorated with patent leather and glitter. The decorative lace-up closure gives it a striking look, while the zipper makes it easy to put on. The elastic laces, elastic insert, and comfortable insole provide a high level of comfort.

Care

Remove mud as soon as you finish riding, before it dries. Clean with a damp cloth and, occasionally, apply a specific moisturizing product for leather.

Let them air dry, away from radiators and direct sunlight, and store them upright with boot trees or shapers so the shaft does not collapse.

Frequently asked questions

Why do riding boots have a heel?

It is a safety measure: it prevents the foot from sliding and passing through the stirrup.

Do they stretch?

Leather stretches somewhat in calf circumference with use, and the shaft drops a few millimeters as the ankle creases form. They do not stretch in foot length, so do not compensate for a short size hoping they will stretch.

What size should I choose if I am between two?

In general, the larger one: a tight boot will not be fixed with use. If the problem is the calf circumference, see if the model exists in a wide version.
