How to get the right size

A tall riding boot is not chosen just by the shoe size. Three measurements are needed, and this is exactly what prevents the most returns:

  • Foot length, from toe to heel and while standing.
  • Height, from the floor to the hollow behind the knee.
  • Calf circumference, at its widest point.

Measure yourself while wearing your riding breeches, not jeans or with a bare leg: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason a boot does not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.

Sizes for this model: 40, 41, 37, 42, 34, 39, 43, 46, 44, 38, 45, 36, 35, 47.

This model is also sold by calf width: Calf Xs, Calf Xxs, Calf Xl, Calf S, Calf L, Calf M. Choose it according to your leg measurement, not by shoe size.

Several brands manufacture the same model in different calf widths as separate references. If the calf circumference feels tight, look for the wide version before going up a shoe size.

Leather gives a little in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters when the ankle creases form, but it does not give in foot length: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
