How to choose the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen by shoe size alone. Three measurements are needed, and this is exactly what prevents the most returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
- Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself while wearing riding breeches, not jeans or with bare legs: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason a boot does not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.
Sizes for this model: 38, 30, 31, 36, 32, 33, 28, 40, 35, 34, 37, 39, 29.
Various brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is tight, look for the wide version before going up a shoe size.
The leather gives a little in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters when the ankle creases form, but the foot length does not give: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
