How to choose the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen by foot size alone. Three measurements are needed, and they are exactly what prevents most returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
- Height, from the floor to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself wearing riding pants, not jeans or with a bare leg: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason a boot won't close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.

This model is also sold by calf width: Wide, Narrow, Regular. Choose it according to your leg measurement, not your foot size.
Several brands make the same model in different calf widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is tight, look for the wide version before going up a foot size.
Leather gives a little in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters when making the ankle creases, but it does not give in foot length: do not compensate for a short size by expecting it to stretch. If you are between two, choose the larger.
