How to choose the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen based solely on foot size. Three measurements are needed, which is exactly what prevents the most returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel, while standing.
- Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself while wearing your riding breeches, not jeans or with bare legs: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common cause for a boot not closing. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.
Sizes for this model: 39, 44, 35, 46, 41, 47, 37, 36, 45, 43, 38, 40, 42.
Several brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is tight, look for the wide version before going up a foot size.
Leather gives a bit in circumference with use and the shaft lowers a few millimeters when the ankle creases form, but it does not give in foot length: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
