How to choose the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen by foot size alone. Three measurements are needed, which is the best way to prevent returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
- Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself while wearing your riding breeches, not jeans or bare-legged: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason a boot does not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.
Sizes available for this model: 39, 37, 36, 38, 45, 43, 41, 40, 46, 42, 44.
Several brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference feels tight, look for the wide version before going up a foot size.
Leather yields slightly in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters as creases form at the ankle, but it does not stretch in foot length: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If in doubt between two sizes, choose the larger one.
