How to get the right size

A tall riding boot is not chosen by shoe size alone. Three measurements are required, and this is exactly what prevents the most returns:

  • Foot length, from toe to heel while standing.
  • Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
  • Calf circumference, at its widest point.

Measure yourself while wearing riding breeches, not jeans or bare legs: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason why a boot won't zip up. Do it in the afternoon, as your feet and calves swell during the day.

Sizes for this model: 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42.

Several brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is tight, look for the wide version before sizing up your shoe size.

Leather gives slightly in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters as the ankle creases form, but it does not stretch in foot length: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Adapt this boot to your style! The top has Velcro, so you can change the decorative trim. It comes standard with a glitter trim; others are sold separately. It features a zipper with an elastic insert at the back and elastic laces at the front.

This is the wide calf version of the model.

Size note: due to its thinner, more elegant sole, this boot has a narrower foot fit than other QHP boots. If you are normally between two sizes, choose the larger one for this style.

Care

Remove mud as soon as you finish riding, before it dries. Clean with a damp cloth and occasionally apply a specific leather conditioner.

Let them air dry, away from radiators and direct sunlight, and store them upright with boot trees or shapers so the shaft does not collapse.

Frequently asked questions

Why do riding boots have a heel?

It is a safety measure: it prevents the foot from sliding and passing through the stirrup.

Do they stretch?

Leather gives a little in calf circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters when the ankle creases form. They do not stretch in foot length, so do not compensate for a short size hoping they will stretch.

Which size should I choose if I am between two?

In general, the larger one: a tight-fitting boot will not be fixed with use. If the problem is the calf circumference, check if the model exists in a wide version.
