How to get the right size

A tall riding boot is not chosen by shoe size alone. Three measurements are required, and this is exactly what prevents the most returns:

  • Foot length, from toe to heel and while standing.
  • Height, from the floor to the hollow behind the knee.
  • Calf circumference, at its widest point.

Measure yourself while wearing riding breeches, not jeans or with a bare leg: the difference is several centimeters and is the most common reason why a boot will not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.

Sizes for this model: 37, 43, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41.

Several brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is a tight fit for you, look for the wide version before going up a shoe size.

Leather gives slightly in circumference with use and the shaft drops a few millimeters as the ankle creases form, but it does not give in foot length: do not compensate for a short size hoping it will stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
