How to choose the right size
A tall riding boot is not chosen by foot size alone. Three measurements are needed, and this is precisely what avoids the most returns:
- Foot length, from toe to heel and while standing.
- Height, from the ground to the hollow behind the knee.
- Calf circumference, at its widest point.
Measure yourself with your riding breeches on, not with jeans or bare legs: the difference is several centimeters, and it is the most common reason a boot does not close. Do it in the afternoon, as the foot and calf swell during the day.

Various brands manufacture the same model in different shaft widths as separate references. If the calf circumference is a tight fit, look for the wide version before going up a foot size.
