The Vellquine Serenity English Bridle is an English bridle from Rincón del Valle's own brand, designed for daily work and competition.
Vellquine is Rincón del Valle's own brand: we design and sell it ourselves, so any questions about size, fit, or replacement are resolved directly without going through a distributor. If something doesn't fit, you have 30 days to return it.
How to adjust an English bridle
Three points determine if a bridle is properly fitted:
- Headpiece: It should rest behind the ears without pinching them or pressing the browband into the base of the ear.
- Noseband: Two fingers should fit between the noseband and the nasal bone, and it should be positioned about two fingers below the cheekbone. Tightening it does not improve control and will bother the horse.
- Throatlatch: It should allow the width of a hand held on its side. This is the most common mistake we see in the store.
Available sizes
This item is manufactured in Full and Cob. Cob is the size for horses with smaller heads and most large ponies; Full is the standard horse size. If your horse is between the two, measure the circumference of the headpiece from ear to ear and the length of the noseband before deciding: it's easier to adjust a Full with the holes higher up than to stretch a Cob.
What to check before ordering
- If you are going to use it in competition, check your discipline's rules: some nosebands and some hardware are not allowed in dressage.
- Check if you need reins and a bit separately: unless indicated on the product page, the bridle is sold alone.
- Measure the length of the cheekpieces on the bridle you currently use; this is the most reliable reference for getting it right the first time.
