The Eclipse Stone Mat by Equestro is a horse riding helmet with a sober design and a matte finish with embedded crystals: the shine does not come from the shell, which is matte, but from the stones applied to it and the Equestro logo plate on the front. It is simple and elegant, and suitable for all disciplines.
It is constructed with impact-resistant materials: an ABS outer shell over an EPS inner core, the material that absorbs impact energy. The inner padding is breathable and the size is adjusted using a rear dial, so it can be fine-tuned on the go without tools.

Safety and certification
This helmet complies with the EN 1384:2023 standard, the current European standard for horse riding helmets. It is the 2023 revision, which is more demanding than the previous EN 1384:2017 regarding impact and retention tests. The certification is printed on the inside of the helmet along with the manufacturing date.

Care and maintenance
Brush the shell gently with warm water and a non-abrasive soap. Let it air dry, never in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Do not use solvents: they attack the ABS and can damage the setting of the crystals.
How to choose the right size
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your head, above the ears and across the widest part of the skull. The measurement in centimeters is what matters, not your usual hat size.

A helmet must fit firmly without pressure: it should not move when you tilt your head forward or rotate when you shake your head. If you are between two sizes, the rear dial or adjustment system provides leeway within each one.

It comes from the stones. The shell is matte and has crystals embedded on it, plus the logo plate on the front.

When should a helmet be replaced?
After any strong impact, even if nothing is visible on the outside: the EPS works by deforming and will no longer protect as effectively. Over the years, the cushioning material also loses its absorption capacity.
